Tensions were registered this Saturday in front of the Ministry of Education in Tirana, where protesters set fire to three garbage bins, while the police intervened with calls to maintain calm and avoid acts of violence.
Students and young people have gathered for the 19th consecutive day in front of the Ministry of Education, continuing their protest against the government and demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
The protest was also joined by citizens and supporters of the Democratic Party, who earlier marched from the Prime Minister's Office to the Ministry of Education.
The situation has been accompanied by tensions among the participants, while police forces have called on protesters to distance themselves from violence, not to block the road, and to continue the rally peacefully.
Meanwhile, at the beginning of Durrës Street, the situation appears calmer. Democratic Party deputies are also in this area, following clashes recorded between protesters near the Ministry of Education.
