Erjon Vishkulli, the well-known fan of the Albanian National Team, who was seriously injured in the eye during the student protests in Tirana, has reacted for the first time on social media after undergoing surgery in Italy.
The 28-year-old, part of the "Red and Black Fans" group, is facing a difficult period of recovery, while concerns remain about the consequences the injury may have on his vision.
Through a public message, Vishkulli thanked his family, friends, and Albanians who have stood by him, emphasizing that their support has given him strength and hope to cope with this situation.
"In these difficult moments of my life, where after great pain I am facing another important challenge for my eyesight, I want to express my most sincere gratitude to everyone," he says.
Vishkulli emphasizes that the messages, phone calls, and solidarity of citizens have been an important support during the difficult days that have passed.
He also expressed gratitude to God for the strength and hope, wishing that the challenge he is facing will end successfully.
We recall that Erjon Vishkulli was injured on October 24, during a student protest in the capital. According to his testimony, he was hit in the eye by a rubber bullet while standing next to police forces. After initial treatment in Albania, the 28-year-old was sent to Italy for specialized treatment.
His injury sparked widespread reactions and solidarity, especially from the Albanian fan community, while student protests demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama continue.
