Israeli gunmen are suspected of attacking Palestinian vehicles on Abu Najim Street, southeast of Bethlehem, according to local media reports.
During the incident, the attackers allegedly also targeted medical personnel who were trying to help three injured Palestinians. Several vehicles were damaged, while the windows of a Palestine Red Crescent ambulance were broken.
According to data from the Council to Combat the Separation Wall and Settlements, during the first six months of 2026, 3,488 attacks were recorded in the West Bank, where 17 Palestinians lost their lives.
According to the same source, 26 Bedouin communities have been forcibly displaced, while 42 new settlements have been created, mainly for livestock purposes.
Attacks on Palestinians in the West Bank have intensified since the start of the war in Gaza in October 2023. According to official Palestinian data, since then more than 1,182 Palestinians have been killed, around 13,000 have been injured, and approximately 25,000 have been arrested in the West Bank.
