The prosecution presented new material evidence on Monday in the trial for the murder of Liridona Ademaj, where the main accused is her husband, Naim Murseli.
Key evidence presented was video footage from the evening of November 29, 2023, obtained from a bar in Pristina, where Murseli had last dined with the victim and their two children. According to the Prosecution, Granit Plava, accused of being the perpetrator of the murder, was also in the same bar the entire time.
The prosecutor in the case, Javorka Perlinçević, explained that the footage shows Naim Murseli getting up from the table with the phone in his hand, approaching the table where Granit Plava was and returning after about two minutes, an action that, according to the Prosecution, constitutes a signal for the commission of a crime.
According to the investigation, Mursel and Plava had met earlier in the day, around 4:30 PM, in the village of Rakovinë, near a gas station. Other footage shows Mursel approaching Plava outside the bar and giving her an energy drink, while the two are seen chatting and walking away together.
The prosecution has also presented audio recordings from the moment of the murder, where the gunshot and the screams of children can be heard. According to the prosecutor, after analyzing the audio recordings also obtained from a Mercedes-Benz vehicle, a forensic examination has been ordered to separate and process the voices in the background.
Other footage was also shown at the hearing where Granit Plava is seen leaving the scene after committing the murder.
Among the evidence presented are photographs documenting Naim Murseli's movements after giving his statement to the police. According to the Prosecution, he goes to a hotel in Pristina, where he meets Kushtrim Kokalla and Valon Lluka. Photographs provided by the Swiss Diamond Hotel show Murseli and Kokalla entering the hotel, as well as the moment when Kokalla makes a payment at the reception in cash.
The prosecution stressed that all this evidence strengthens suspicions of planning and collaboration in the murder of Liridona Ademaj.
