Everything that is happening in the DP today is no longer just a crisis. It is the consequence of wrong choices, of personal interests, of insincere attitudes, of the refusal to part with the past.
A wrong path that has distanced the Democratic Party more and more from the democrats every day.
The belief that contested individuals and those in conflict with justice could restore victory was, from the beginning, and has long since been confirmed to be wrong and costly.
Those who chose to lead this path, placing personal interest above that of the Democrats, bear a great burden for the state the Democratic Party is in today!!
Without any public responsibility, they supported and continue to repeat the same lies as 5 years ago.
Many others violated their initial stances, principles, and the possibility for the Democratic Party to develop towards the future, detached from the past. They were reduced to the size of a parliamentary chair, and today they are left without authority or weight of argument.
Because, after all, you cannot speak out against corruption and, at the same time, bow your head in front of it when it is in your political home.
This is where the freedom of each of us begins and ends! The power of each over themselves and public responsibility!
I do not feel sorry for those who brought the Democratic Party, intentionally, to this day!!
But I feel pain for the thousands of Democrats who believed, sacrificed, and today feel disappointed, used, hopeless!
A generation that was left without a voice and was "burned out" politically without having a fair chance.
After more than a decade in the Democratic Party and directly engaged in public life, years that connect me above all humanly with thousands of individuals, today I regret the path this party has taken.
Today the DP is more divided than ever!
More inadequate and less representative than ever before! It no longer generates ideas, it has no arguments that respond to the times!
It no longer inspires, it no longer unites, it no longer gives hope. The DP has moved away from intellectuals, the young people do not project themselves into the harsh and unjust mentality that dominates the leadership of this political force.
But I still believe that this party can rise again, only if it finds the courage to face the truth, to face itself.
The Democratic Party must be freed from the individuals and mentality that are holding it hostage, and return to its values: accountability, meritocracy, and respect for justice.
My call today is to every democrat: do not agree with this leadership model. Do not remain silent in the face of this decline.
Do not limit your freedom and dignity for the unjust interests of a few individuals, whom Albanians have rejected since 2013!
…..One day, democrats will find the path to unity, when values lead them towards the future.
