From the "pet" of ambassadors to the polemics with them. Rama's reaction to Balluku and the gap between the declarations on justice and the assembly's decision

From the "pet" of ambassadors to the polemics with them. Rama's

Prime Minister Edi Rama reacted today after statements from the embassies of Germany and the United Kingdom regarding Parliament's decision not to allow the lifting of Belinda Balluku's immunity.

In his reaction, Rama writes that he 100% agrees with the principles expressed by the embassies: fight against corruption, effective criminal prosecution, and independence of justice.

The problem is that these statements came on the very day that the ruling majority in Parliament refused to pave the way for an investigation into a high-ranking government official.

So, there is a clear gap between the statement and the action.

On the one hand, Rama says he supports justice reform, judicial independence, and SPAK.

On the other hand, when the prosecution seeks to take an investigative step against an important government minister, the parliamentary majority decides to put a political brake on it.

Rama emphasizes that Belinda Balluku is not accused of corruption and that the investigation should continue calmly and without pressure.

But for this very reason, SPAK requested to continue the investigation.

And it was precisely this step that Parliament decided to stop.

The Prime Minister tries to present the decision as normal parliamentary procedure, saying that any democratic European parliament would have acted the same way.

And yet, embassy statements show that the expectation of international partners is clear: corruption must be investigated even at the highest levels of power and without political obstacles.

At the end of his reaction, Rama reiterates the government's major objective: Albania 2030 in the European Union.

In fact, a slogan that sounds good in statements.

But, with a more careful eye, some innovations are noticed in Rama's fiery reaction to the embassies.

First, it is the first time, in 13 years, that Rama has opposed Tirana's ambassadors.

He has always been their "pet", with his hand on their neck.

This "welcome" reaction clearly indicates that the caressing report is just a beautiful, old memory.

Secondly, Rama's nervousness is noticeable.

This global leader, who has never deigned to consider ambassadors as interlocutors, because he was worthy of communicating with the leaders of those countries, today feels irritated and, for this reason, reacts to the words of the ambassadors.

A drastic reduction and a global level deflation where Rama has sold himself.

Thirdly, it has lost the former brilliance in its positions, when it stood for theses that, however, had a rational basis in any position.

Like a little man caught in guilt, he now seeks to deny what everyone saw and warned him not to do.

The lack of immunity is a direct, strong, discouraging and essential obstacle to SPAK.

Rama tells them that not lifting immunity, meaning not applying the security measures requested by SPAK, is not an obstruction of SPAK.

A stale logical absurdity.

The misery of the argument, apparently, no longer has any logical argument in the situation it finds itself in.

Fourth, the complete lack of arguments is also demonstrated by his pathetic and self-defensive drive, as he alludes that the parliaments of those European countries would do the same thing as the Parliament of Albania did.

A clear and autosuggestive attempt to reduce guilt.

He must be emotionally heavy and distressed, because there is no logical explanation for his argument.

Fifth, emotionally burdened, clear that he has wrongly crossed a serious line of demarcation, but just like a small person caught in guilt, he tries to shift the blame to someone else.

The insinuation that justice is acting in this case driven by factors "outside the boundaries of judicial power" is a pure insinuation that the fault is not his, but those internationals "outside the boundaries" who have pushed SPAK.

By blackmailing, why not, even the internationals, because according to him, he knows that this is not an act of justice, but an act of international politics.

In other words, justice is unreliable and so are the internationals.

Sixth, this approach of his leads to another logical conclusion: that Rama has already become paranoid.

He thus alludes to an international conspiracy against him, at the hands of Albanian justice.

And if there were a seventh point, just one sentence would suffice: when is the last time the Prime Minister of Albania was on an official visit to a European Union country?
