Today, more than ever before, we are connected to the digital world. From the moment we open our eyes in the morning until the late hours of the night, our phones, computers, televisions, and other electronic devices are an inseparable part of our lives.
But how much time do we really spend in front of screens?
Global statistics reveal a shocking reality: people spend an average of 4 to 16 hours a day consuming digital content. This includes everything – social media, YouTube videos, Netflix series, online news, games, and even reading emails or working on a computer.
If we think about it more deeply: 8 hours a day × 365 days = 2,920 hours a year. This time is equivalent to about 121 days or 4 months a year. Yes, we essentially spend a full quarter of the year living in a virtual reality.
This doesn't mean that all this time is wasted. Many of us work online, learn online, and even build relationships and personal development through digital content. But among all these useful hours, there are also dozens of hours that are "stolen" from our attention - endless scrolling, unconscious clicking, superficial consumption that often leaves us empty.
