The First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan has imposed the security measure "prison arrest" for 9 people arrested in flagrante delicto during the anti-drug operation conducted last weekend, where an organized criminal group was hit.
The decision was made after reviewing the request of the Prosecution, represented at the hearing by Prosecutor Gjergji Ceka, while the trial panel was led by Judge Suela Lika.

Imprisonment for all detainees
After hearing the parties in a closed session, the court:
considered the detention of persons under investigation as lawful
accepted the prosecution's request
imposed the measure of "prison arrest" on them
The arrested, identified with the initials I.Sh., NS, G.Ç., JI, AB, LF, RZ, M.Ç. and RH, are accused of the criminal offense of "production and sale of narcotics", according to articles 283/1 and 283/2 of the Criminal Code.
24 arrest warrants and wanted persons
The operation included a total of 24 arrest warrants, including:
some of the suspects had been arrested earlier
while 8 people are wanted
The action was accompanied by 27 searches in various homes and premises.
The court ordered that the arrested persons be placed in institutions for the execution of criminal decisions, remaining at the disposal of the investigations.
Likewise, the Prosecution and the judicial police are tasked with implementing the decision, while the parties have the right to appeal to the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction of Tirana within 5 days.
