The White House has sparked backlash on social media by releasing a series of Valentine's Day cards featuring some of the most popular memes and images from US President Donald Trump's second term.
Among them are one depicting the capture of Nicolas Maduro during a raid in Caracas and one with Greenland nestled inside a heart.
The first postcard, with the message "You conquered my heart," depicts former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, bound and blindfolded, during his transfer to the US following Operation Absolute Resolve.
The White House also satirized Trump's desire to "take" Greenland — an idea that has faced strong opposition from the self-governing territory's residents and European leaders — with the card "It's time to define our situation," around a map of the Arctic island.
Another postcard uses the infamous photo of Senator Chris Van Hollen “drinking margaritas” with a suspected gang member in El Salvador, enclosed in a heart, with the message “My love for you is as strong as the love Democrats have for illegal immigrants” and the phrase “I would fly 1,537 miles to have a drink with you!”
Another postcard shows Trump holding a recent executive order, accompanied by “Executive Order 4547 … You are my Valentine.”
