"Disclosures in the Epstein dossier may amount to crimes against humanity," the UN has declared.
Millions of documents recently released by the US Department of Justice highlighted numerous scandals as they contained disturbing evidence of sexual abuse, human trafficking, and exploitation of women and girls.
As the UN states, these acts can be considered sexual slavery, enforced disappearance, torture, inhuman and degrading treatment, and femicide.
"These crimes were committed in the context of supremacist beliefs, racism, corruption, extreme misogyny, and the commodification and dehumanization of women and girls from different parts of the world," the UN experts said in a statement published on the website of the UN Human Rights Office.
