Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has dismissed claims of negotiations with the United States, stating that contacts between the two countries are limited to the exchange of messages through intermediaries.
In a television interview on Iran's state news channel, he said the US "started sending different messages through different intermediaries."
The fact that these messages were "conveyed through friendly countries" and that Iran responded by declaring "its positions and issuing warnings" is "neither dialogue, nor negotiations, nor anything like that," the Iranian foreign minister added.
Araghchi also says that Iran's policy at the moment is to continue to "defend" and that "they have no intention of negotiating at the moment."
He adds that "this is Israel's war and the people of the region and the people of the US are paying the price for it."
