Eurostar trains to London and Paris passing through the Channel Tunnel have been disrupted after a power outage and a technical problem on one of the Le Shuttle trains disrupted normal service operations. This has caused significant cancellations and delays on one of Europe's busiest international rail corridors.
Eurostar announced that services are expected to resume after 4:00 PM today, December 30. Passengers were urged to postpone their journeys to another date and avoid travelling to stations without a confirmed ticket for today.
Eurostar trains connect London with Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and tourist destinations such as Disneyland Paris, providing a key link between the UK and the rest of Europe. The disruption came at the height of the winter travel season, causing disruption for thousands of passengers.
Authorities and the company are monitoring the situation and working to resume normal services, with the aim of minimizing delays and inconvenience to passengers.
