US President Donald Trump harshly attacked speakers at the Grammy Awards ceremony, where some artists spoke out against the authorities' policies on cracking down on immigration.
Trump also threatened to sue Grammys host Trevor Noah over a joke he made about the president's alleged ties to paedophile businessman Jeffrey Epstein.
Noah mocked Trump several times throughout the ceremony, and before being announced as the winner of "Song of the Year," he said, "It's a Grammy that every artist wants almost as much as Trump wants Greenland, which makes sense because Epstein's island is gone, he needs a new one to spend time with Bill Clinton."
In a post on the social network Truth Social, Trump wrote after the ceremony: “The Grammy Awards are the WORST.” “CBS is lucky to no longer have this garbage ceremony littering the airwaves,” he added, referring to the fact that Disney will take over the broadcast rights to the ceremony starting next year.
The president then responded to a joke by Noah that implied he had spent time on Epstein's island, writing: "Noah said, FALSELY to me, that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein's Island. FALSE!!!" "I can't speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein's Island, not even close to it, and until this false and defamatory statement tonight, I have never been accused of being there, not even by the Fake News," Trump added.
The US president then warned Noah, saying he "better have the facts straight, and ready," adding: "I will be sending my lawyers to sue this pathetic, talentless, pathetic presenter," Trump wrote on the social network. "Get ready, Noah, I'm going to have some fun with you!"
