Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado has reacted for the first time after the US operation in Caracas and the arrest of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. In her statement, Machado said that Maduro has left the country's leadership after refusing to enter into negotiations, stressing that the political situation in Venezuela has entered a new phase.
"Maduro left the country because he refused to negotiate," Machado declared, emphasizing that the political situation in the country has entered a new phase.
She called for the immediate release of all political prisoners, describing this step as necessary for the restoration of democracy and stability in the country.
We recall that the Venezuelan opposition leader is on the run to hide from the Maduro regime, while in October of this year she won the Nobel Peace Prize.
