Deputy Minister of Interior, Anisa Ruseti, warned young people and parents about the legal consequences of engaging in violence during the protests in Tirana, including damaging property and using explosive devices.
Ruseti recalled that criminal responsibility for crimes begins at the age of 14, while for criminal offenses at the age of 16. She emphasized that responsibility is determined individually, based on evidence, and that presence at the protest does not in itself constitute a cause for punishment.
The Deputy Minister called on young people to distance themselves from violence and exercise their right to protest peacefully.
