Students and young people gathered this Tuesday, October 13, in front of the Ministry of Education in Tirana, as part of the national protest announced to raise their voices about the issues that concern young people in Albania.
Through a public call, the organizers have appealed to students from all cities in the country, as well as other citizens, to join the rally and seek solutions to concerns that, according to them, continue to remain unanswered by the responsible institutions.
The focus of the protest is on conditions in Albanian universities, study costs, support for students, and employment opportunities after completing higher education.
Another concern raised is related to the mismatch between university education and labor market demands, a problem that, according to students, makes the professional integration of young people difficult and encourages their departure from the country.
The organizers aim for the protest to serve as a form of civic response to the issues of education and the prospects of young people in Albania.
In addition to demands related to education, the public calls also articulated political demands, including the removal of Prime Minister Edi Rama and the creation of a transitional technical government.
Participation in the protest and the continuation of the rally are expected to determine the further course of this civic reaction.
