The Committee on Civic Initiatives, Cooperation and Institutional Oversight has announced the holding of a hearing on October 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM, where the leaders of the High Judicial Council, the High Prosecutorial Council and the High Inspector of Justice have been summoned.
This call by the head of the commission, Fatmir Xhafaj, comes at a time when the justice authorities have not yet been given any concrete solution for security in the courts, even today, one year after the tragic event of the murder of the judge.
The lack of real measures remains covered up behind political propaganda and initiatives with MPs' excursions to the doors of the courts, while clashes with the justice system have been continuous.
After clashing with magistrates over the issue of salaries, offering them only a minimalist increase, and after introducing unconsulted changes to the Criminal Procedure Code, which were forcefully rejected by prosecutors, the balance of cooperation remains critical.
The head of the commission, Fatmir Xhafaj, does not hide his desire to see and treat all other institutions from above and in an oppressive position.
However, when it comes to real cooperation and solving the problems that the justice system faces every day, beyond propaganda, there are no concrete results.
