Inter Milan striker Ange-Yoan Bonny has officially completed the process of changing his sporting nationality and will now be eligible to represent Ivory Coast in international matches, including the 2026 World Cup.
His request to switch from representing France, where he had previously played with the U-21 team, has been approved by FIFA, paving the way for a new chapter in his international career.
The decision was made public on Friday, while the Inter footballer was also received by the Ivory Coast ambassador in Italy, where he was handed the national team jersey.
Bonny, 22, originally from Ivory Coast, is expected to be part of the final squad that will participate in the 2026 World Cup. He has had a good season with Inter, contributing to the Serie A win and scoring five goals as a substitute.
