Kosovo achieved an extraordinary victory in Bratislava against Slovakia, triumphing 4-3 in the semi-final of the play-offs for the 2026 World Cup. The match, held in the Slovak capital, began with the dominance of the locals, who scored in the 6th minute through Valjent.
The Reds reacted quickly, and in the 21st minute Veldin Hodza scored a beautiful goal to equalize the score. However, defensive sloppiness at the end of the first half gave Slovakia the second goal, taking the score to 2-1 at the break.
The second half was all in favor of the Dardanelles. In the 47th minute, Fisnik Asllani restored the balance, while in the 60th minute, Muslija scored a perfect shot to give Kosovo the lead. In the 72nd minute, Hajrizi scored the fourth and winning goal, while in the extra minutes, Strelec scored for the home team, which served only for statistics.
With this victory, Kosovo continues its dream of the 2026 World Cup and will host Turkey in Pristina in the grand play-off final.
