New details emerge from the investigations that have shaken the world of Italian football, linked to an escort scandal and an events agency in Milan, as reported by the daily 'La Repubblica'.
At the center of the investigation is an event organization agency in Milan, whose administrators have been placed under house arrest, accused of exploiting and favoring prostitution, as well as collaboration in crime.
According to the Milan Prosecutor's Office, at least 70 professional footballers are suspected of having attended parties organised by this structure. Reports in 'La Repubblica' describe luxurious private settings where bottles of wine worth up to 20,000 euros were consumed.
However, so far none of the footballers are officially under investigation.
The evenings, according to the investigative file, offered packages that included luxury nightclubs in Milan, escort services and in some cases even narcotics. Investigations have revealed that the activity is suspected to have continued during the pandemic.
The case began after a complaint made by one of the girls involved, who was identified in the summer of 2024.
The dossier also mentions wiretaps among the agency's associates, which talk about payments linked to several footballers from teams such as Torino, Sassuolo and Verona. According to the investigation, the amounts requested did not match the declared consumption, raising suspicions of disguised payments.
The defendants' lawyer has filed court documents contesting the charges, claiming that the payments are related only to nightlife services and not to illegal activity.
