Albanian boxer Jurgen Uldedaj has made history at London's "O₂ Arena", triumphing over Cameroonian champion Rolly Lambert Fogoum and being declared world champion in the IBO (International Boxing Organization) version.
The match was strong and balanced until the end, but Uldedaj stood out for his calmness, technique and high physical preparation, dominating the rounds and winning deservedly.
This success elevates the 28-year-old to the top of world boxing and constitutes a historic achievement for Albania, as he becomes the first Albanian boxer to win a world title in professional boxing.
Born in Albania and trained as a sportsman between Germany and England, Uldedaj has built a successful career with 21 wins, 12 of which by knockout. He has previously held prestigious titles such as WBO Youth, WBC Youth, IBF International, WBA Inter-Continental and IBO Mediterranean.
Even though he trains abroad, Uldedaj has consistently emphasized his pride in representing the Albanian flag in every match.
