Albanian volleyball has recently encountered an unprecedented event. Dinamo volleyball player Nayara Ferreira has been temporarily suspended by the Federation after complaints about her gender. According to Panorama Sport, several reports from rivals have prompted Dinamo to request a 'gender test' for the 32-year-old.
It seems that the Brazilian did not take this incident well, but is ready to go to the gynecologist together with the club. The FSV is requesting more in-depth tests to see if we are dealing with a gender change from Nayara earlier.
The situation was not well received by the volleyball player, who seems to have felt discriminated against. At the moment, there is no reaction from the parties, but everyone is caught off guard by such a request.
No reaction is expected until the results of the tests are released, but the fact is that until now Nayara Ferreira is suspended.
If we look at her CV, Nayara Ferreira has been part of volleyball clubs such as BMB/Mackenzie, San Bernardo, Sesi, Pinheiros in Brazil, or Gran Canaria Spain, Kravole Pole Czech Republic, LP Vampula in Finland, Vitoria and Kairos in Portugal or Al Ahly and Alula in Saudi Arabia.
This season, Nayara Ferreira moved to Dinamo and in her first experience in our country, she encountered something she had not encountered in the countries where she had previously played.
