Kosovo Police has undertaken an action in the north of the country, specifically in the village of Jashanicë in the municipality of Leposavic, where a considerable amount of weapons and materials with Serbian nationalist symbols were discovered.
The Deputy Director of Police for the northern region, Veton Elshani, confirmed to the media that the operation was undertaken following information received from the Border Police Units.
"Around 12:00 we received a notification from the Border Police Units that a bar in the Leposaviq area was selling drinks, T-shirts with nationalist logos and symbols, knives, electric shocks and other prohibited items," Elshani stated.
According to Kosovar media, the premises where the smuggled goods were found are now in the hands of the authorities, while investigations are ongoing to identify the persons responsible and the possible distribution network of these materials.
