A new opposition front has been formed in Vlora against the ruling party. Representatives of several opposition forces in the coastal city gathered this Wednesday, establishing the so-called “Opposition Front”.
This initiative, which started in Vlora, aims to spread to other cities in the country and then consolidate at the central level. Its main goal is to strengthen the opposition and increase political pressure on the government.
Part of this movement is former Socialist Party MP Arben Malaj, who has recently emerged as one of the harshest critics of the government. He also recently announced that he will run as an independent for the Municipality of Vlora.
Local representatives of the Democratic Party, including municipal councilor Atird Hoxha, are also part of this initiative. This shows that the Democrats are dissatisfied with the way their party is acting in opposition, choosing to contribute to this new opposition front.
