A heated debate has erupted in the studio of Grida Duma's show on TCH between her and the main spokesperson of the Democratic Party, Alfred Lela, regarding the opposition's reaction to the burning of the palace in Tirana.
The clash erupted when Duma questioned Lela about the absence of DP deputies at the scene after the serious incident. She raised the question of why opposition representatives were not present near the residents affected by the fire.
In response, Lela justified herself by saying that the opposition will not act according to what Top Channel dictates. The debate between them became even more tense and ended with Lela leaving the show.
The incident has also raised questions about the public reaction of the Democratic Party to the burning of the palace in Tirana. Reactions from the opposition have been few and mostly limited to a few sporadic statuses on social networks, while most MPs have not appeared at the scene.
In the reactions so far, it has also been noted that the name of the builder Armand Lilo has not been mentioned. Even Sali Berisha, known for his strong public stances, has not directly addressed this issue.
Lilo also turns out to be one of the shareholders of Credins Bank, a business with many interests linked to the DP where close family members of Democratic Party leaders are also employed.
The studio debate between Duma and Lela highlighted the tension surrounding this issue, while the clash between them ended with the DP spokesperson leaving the show.
