Former MP Ervin Salianji has reacted to the statements of the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, who, during a meeting with farmers in Kuçova, accused him of having lunch with Ergys Agas and of using Suel Çela to threaten the Democrats.
In a Facebook post, Salianji described the accusations as untrue and politically motivated, saying they indicate a "serious psycho-emotional state."
"The attacks are neither random nor sincere. They are a clear expression of fear of competition and loss of privileges," he said.
Salianji also states that he has not been and will not be part of "bargaining with the government," while underlining that he has personally paid for his political stances.
"Accusing me of links to crime is evidence of a deep political panic," he declared.
Further, the former MP called for an open and fair competition within the Democratic Party, emphasizing that Democrats need representation and not exclusions or labeling.
