The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced the extension of their collaboration with Netflix for the production of films and series, as part of a "multi-year, first-mover" agreement that gives the streaming platform the first right to review projects from their company "Archewell Productions".
The new deal, more flexible than the previous one that began in 2020 and is estimated to be worth around $100 million, puts to rest rumors that the couple would end their collaboration with Netflix. Details about the duration and financial value of the contract were not made public.
The news comes ahead of the second season of the cooking show With Love, Meghan, which is set to premiere later this month. The first season, which saw Meghan cook with celebrity friends, was watched by 5.3 million users, failing to rank among Netflix's top 300 shows in the first half of 2025.
The couple's most successful project with Netflix remains the documentary Harry & Meghan, released in December 2022, with 23.4 million views.
Archewell has also announced a special celebratory episode of With Love, Meghan, as well as a new documentary titled Masaka Kids, A Rhythm Within, about an orphanage in Uganda that serves as a symbol of hope in the face of the consequences of the HIV/AIDS crisis.
Netflix's head of content, Bela Bajaria, said: "Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories touch audiences around the world. The success of the documentary Harry & Meghan speaks for the resonance of their work."
