Former Deputy Prime Minister Arben Ahmetaj, who is facing charges of "abuse of office" in the Special Court, has requested that the trial against him be recorded and made public to citizens.
The request was filed by his lawyer, Henrik Ligori, during the next hearing in the case known as “Buka sha.” According to the defense, transparency is considered essential for guaranteeing a fair process and informing public opinion.
"The hearing should be broadcast live, so that the public can follow the process," lawyer Ligori said before the trial panel.
