The opposition has no candidate for the November 9 elections in Tirana. At least not what is considered opposition outside of Sali Berisha's framework. The latter did, indeed, choose his candidate and, willingly or not, attracted Adriatik Lapaj and Agron Shehaj to the DP's court. The former, distracted by the chatter of his aunt and uncle, has no reason to test himself electorally in Tirana. Meanwhile, Shehaj, who thought he had trapped Sali Berisha with the massively supported candidacy of Ermal Hasime, was ultimately forced to enter Berisha's fold without much glory.
Ogerta Manastirliu and Florian Binaj are now competing in Tirana. In this case, Agron Shehaj will also save money on conducting polls with his call center, because he knows the result. But those democrats or oppositionists who hoped that a ray of hope was finally emerging and a possible candidate far from Berisha's imposition would appear in Tirana were disappointed. Perhaps many of them will not vote on November 9, others will vote for Binaj, but there will be those who will tend to go towards Arlind Qorri — the only one who kept his word and came out against the establishment, even though the ideology he represents is outdated and dangerous.
The only ones, meanwhile, who will shrink even more and become more irritated are those citizens of Tirana who are waiting for the hope of change from the opposition, which once again offers the stale dish cooked in the kitchen of Sali Berisha and his loyalists. This time, Agron Shehaj and Adriatik Lapaj also lent a hand, destroying even that little hope and alternative that was expected to arise.
Confronting Sali Berisha and Berishism is the only way to gain ground in the opposition camp. Sali Berisha has built the other part and is keeping it strong. He will probably always have it. And as for the trickery, no one has been able to defeat him. Confrontation is the only option. Otherwise, the Adriatic aunts are more respected in this political mess than the tricksters who think they can be factors in the opposition in the same ways that Sali Berisha is holding him hostage.
He is the master, you are simply the apprentices that Saliu uses whenever he needs to in cases like these.
