In Albania, the problem lies between the current and former owners.
The former, which includes characters like Berisha's son-in-law, Jozefina Topalli, Oerd Bylykbashi and others, have passed away today. They speak and say that they are rich from inherited property.
The latter, of which I am a part, are waiting or have lost hope of getting what is theirs. But we do not kill, wait or beat anyone who is responsible for this unjust division. Elvis Cefa is the last man I have met with the property file to ask for what belongs to me and my family as compensation. He treated me with contempt and without dignity. I see him today walking the streets of Tirana in a Serbian manner and in a well-being that he did not inherit. Even though I feel like stopping him and saying a few words to him, I still do not, because I have more respect for myself and my grandfather than for the Zeni company that had the power to return our properties.
Those who became owners these past 30 years kill, curse, and threaten because they have passed today and have money to pay lawyers, judges, or prosecutors.
The former owners do not feel it, because they are powerless in the face of the unjust system that left them like this. So do not look for the judge's killers among the former owners. Look for them and you will find them as offspring of the system that you have built these 30 years and that enriched you with injustice.
