The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that since the beginning of winter, ten children have died due to the cold, while Israel continues its blockade against the entry of fuel and humanitarian aid.
A written statement from the Ministry said: "Ali Abu Zur, three months old, lost his life at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital due to extreme cold."
The number of children who have died in Gaza due to exposure to the cold and lack of protection against climatic conditions has reached ten since the beginning of winter.
In the Gaza Strip, where Israel has restricted the entry of aid despite the ceasefire, hundreds of thousands of people are living in makeshift tents.
The heavy rain and storms that have hit the area have made the tents uninhabitable, while young children in particular cannot withstand the low temperatures.
Although the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, no noticeable improvement has been seen in the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Israel's failure to comply with its obligations, by restricting the entry of food, medicine, medical supplies, fuel, and shelter equipment, has caused the crisis to continue.
