Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has ordered the country's armed forces to be on alert to respond to any possible attack by the United States and Israel. He called for the military response to be immediate, effective and without geographical limitations.
According to Iranian media, the order was given during a meeting held this Saturday with senior military leaders, at a time when tensions in the Middle East remain high and there is concern about a new escalation of the conflict.
Khamenei has also called for updating the list of military targets, so that American and Israeli assets, including physical and intangible ones, are within the range of action of Iranian forces.
"If the enemies launch military or terrorist attacks again, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic and the Iranian people will determine the time and conditions for their termination," the Iranian leader's statement said.
He emphasized the need to strengthen defense capacities, improve military intelligence, and use modern technologies to confront potential threats.
Tehran's warning comes amid concerns about the resumption of military clashes with the US and Israel, while diplomatic efforts are also underway in the region to avoid another escalation of the conflict.
Khamenei's statements signal that Iran intends to maintain readiness for a military response if its territory or interests are again targeted for attacks.
