Many businesses and accountants have raised concerns with Monitor that for the past two days they have been facing problems using the SelfCare platform through which they carry out administrative actions online.
Businesses and accountants alike claim that during access attempts, the system does not allow entry and displays the message "Please contact the administrator", rendering the platform unusable. While e-Albania is slow, it displays errors or lack of internet.
The National Information Society Agency (AKSHI), contacted by Monitor, confirmed that the system is working.
This technical problem has led to the suspension of the work of business accountants, who are unable to complete mandatory legal declarations, applications, and services.
"I'm using SelfCare to issue invoices, but the message "Contact Administrator" appears. This problem has been going on for several days and is preventing me from working normally. Also, e-Albania is working very slowly, either showing that there is no internet connection, or showing an error during the application."
"A few days ago I applied for the opening of a NIPT for a LLC, where the registration was completed for the NIPT and for the beneficial owner. However, the part for the beneficial owner was not registered properly. I have tried to rewrite the beneficial owner from the beginning, but the problem persists," Igli Çarçani from "Çarçani Consulting" told Monitor.
The situation is similar for another business.
"The Selfcare system (Tax Administration's Central Invoice Platform) has not been working for 2 days in a row. As soon as the credentials are entered, the system tries to open, but it displays a blocking message, "Please contact the administrator,"" claims another business representative.
Accountants have also complained that the system is not functioning properly, hindering their daily activities and creating difficulties in fulfilling legal obligations.
"I have 3 tax audits asking for today's purchase and sales invoices. I can't produce the purchases. The sales programs don't even work," says accountant Nevila Sadiku.
According to accountants, delays or errors in the system can negatively affect their operations. "It should also be mentioned that this is a continuous request in institutions. We have addressed a written request for the system's malfunction," Arbërora, a certified accountant, claims.
Accountant Erjon Saraçi also highlights that for several days, the malfunctioning of the Self-Care platform has created a problematic situation for accounting professionals and for businesses in the country themselves.
"During access attempts, the system does not allow entry and displays the message "Please contact the administrator", rendering the platform unusable. This technical problem is not simply a technological obstacle, but has led to the suspension of the work of accountants, who are unable to complete mandatory legal declarations, applications and services.
As a direct consequence, the activity of businesses that depend on these services has also been blocked, risking delays in fulfilling legal obligations, financial penalties, and disruption of the normal continuity of economic activity.
The Self-Care Platform is an essential tool for the functioning of the fiscal and administrative system, so its malfunction constitutes a serious institutional problem, which requires an immediate solution. Professionals and businesses expect a quick and transparent response from the relevant institutions, so that work can return to normal and further consequences can be avoided.
Individuals also report that they are encountering problems with the functioning of e-Albania for services through the tax platform.
