After the red moon, the sky will offer another astronomical phenomenon. On Sunday, a partial eclipse of the Sun will be visible, which will reach up to 78% coverage of the disk and will be visible only from southern New Zealand and some areas of Antarctica. According to astronomical institutes, the phenomenon will begin at 19:29 and will peak at 21:41, while it will end around 23:53.
Globally, the maximum magnitude of the eclipse is expected to reach 0.855, which translates to approximately 80% obscuration of the Sun. In the city of Auckland in New Zealand, the eclipse will appear on the morning of September 22, from 06:10 to 08:04 local time.
Although it will not be visible from Europe and Albania, the phenomenon is expected to receive special attention from research centers and international scientific platforms, offering viewers a virtual experience of it.
