Erogen Vaso, who according to investigators was the target of the attack that occurred in Shkodra, where two people were killed and two others were injured, has been questioned for the second time regarding the circumstances of the event that shocked the city.
In his testimony before the investigative group, Vaso stated that he was at a table with two of his friends when a person wearing a spacesuit approached him. "I got up and ran away to escape the bullets. He followed me and was shooting at me," he said. According to Vaso, he only learned in the hospital that his two friends had been killed.
Asked about Ragip Gilan, who is accused of being the perpetrator of the crime, Vaso stated that he had no previous acquaintance with him or any conflicts. He admitted that he had acquaintances with members of the Bajri tribe, but categorically denied involvement in criminal activity.
Meanwhile, the other injured person in the incident, Meri Kaceri, was also questioned by investigators. However, due to the deep shock she had experienced, her testimony was assessed as contradictory.
The serious incident occurred on Monday morning, in a bar in Shkodra. Ragip Gila fired a volley of automatic fire at the table where Erogen Vaso Brajovic was. As a result, Liridon Kraja (alias Lushi) and Armando Pali lost their lives, while Vaso and a waitress were injured.
Police have announced a search for Barush (alias Bajram Bregu), considered a trusted man of Ibrahim Lici, as well as a 17-year-old suspected of being an accomplice of Ragip Gila. During the investigation, a weapons cache was also discovered in the apartment of Ibrahim Lici's aunt, which was allegedly used by the suspected perpetrators.
Police suspect the assassination is part of an ongoing conflict between the Lici and Bajri criminal groups. The conflict is believed to have started with the remote-controlled mine attack on Lulzim Kulla, the son-in-law of the Lici clan, in 2018. Since then, at least 13 victims have been reported.
