The Special Prosecution Office was able to secure the testimony of two convicted felons, who have confessed to dozens of episodes of drug trafficking from South America to EU countries and Albania. One of the felons is an Albanian citizen, while the other, according to sources, is a foreign citizen.
This is about the mega-action of SPAK for the seizure of a large amount of cocaine in Frakull, Fier, where the former mayor Viktor Cervanaku and several other citizens were arrested. At that time, a cocaine processing laboratory was discovered in Frakull and a Colombian citizen was also wanted, who would distribute the drugs.
Later, within the same file, two more criminal groups were dismantled and, in addition to the arrests, several other people were declared wanted. The two convicts provided BKH investigators with details of the trafficking routes.
Further investigations by SPAK are expected to bring about the crackdown on other drug trafficking groups, as well as the seizure of millions of euros obtained from trafficking.
