A 26-year-old man has been arrested after climbing onto the roof of a hospital in Wales, dressed as the mythological character "Grim Reaper", standing for minutes above the main entrance and staring at patients, staff and visitors.
The incident took place at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd Hospital, in St Asaph, where police and firefighters responded to reports of a masked man wearing a black cloak and hood, who was also carrying an object that appeared to be a long blade.
Identified as Leon Gillespie, 26, he was arrested and charged with causing a disturbance on National Health Service (NHS) premises, without any lawful reason.
The incident lasted about 50 minutes and mobilized four police vehicles and a fire truck.
In court, Gillespie pleaded guilty and was fined £200, as well as ordered to pay compensation and court costs.
He also admitted two previous thefts, where he had taken cat food, litter, as well as food and drink products from shops in Llandudno.
Health authorities emphasized that they have zero tolerance for any behavior that violates safety or peace in hospital facilities.
