In a post on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump reacted to the bloody incident in Minneapolis, where an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent shot and killed a man.
Trump stressed that ICE agents were vulnerable, lacking the support of local police, and accused the mayor of Minneapolis and the governor of Minnesota of "inciting riots" by demanding the removal of federal agents after two fatal incidents.
"Let the patriots at ICE do their job!" Trump wrote in his tweet, adding that many police officers had been prevented from taking action, forcing ICE to fend for itself.
At the same time, Trump criticized the Minnesota governor and Minneapolis mayor, both Democrats, for their actions, accusing them of fueling a chaotic situation with their rhetoric, describing it as dangerous and arrogant. He added that this “riot-mongering” is intended to distract from a more serious issue in the state of Minnesota.
"Where are the tens of billions of dollars that were stolen from the once great state of Minnesota? We are here because of the massive financial fraud that has taken place here. Billions of dollars have been lost, and criminals who have been allowed to infiltrate the state because of the Democrats' open borders policy have contributed to the chaos we are seeing," Trump wrote.
He also expressed concern about the security situation, accusing local authorities of covering up mismanagement and other possible aspects of corruption. He noted that many illegal alien criminals, including violent ones, have been arrested and removed from Minnesota by ICE agents.
"We want our money back and we want it NOW. The crooks who stole this money will go to prison, where they belong. This is no different than a massive bank robbery," Trump wrote in his tweet.
He ended the post with a powerful message: “12,000 illegal alien criminals, many of them violent, were arrested and removed from Minnesota. If they were still there, you would see something much worse than what you are seeing today.”
