The European Commission has not given up on the idea of a complete ban on oil imports from Russia and recommends that all EU countries, including Hungary and Slovakia, prepare for this, European Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgensen said at a press conference.
"The Commission intends to present a proposal to ban oil imports from Russia," Jorgensen said.
"As you know, there are sanctions now, but there are two countries that have exemptions and we will present a proposal to change this. So all countries should prepare for this situation," he added.
