Israel has accused the militant group Hezbollah of violating a recently reached ceasefire with Lebanon, calling the incident a "flagrant violation" of the agreement.
The 10-day ceasefire was brokered to halt fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, but both sides have accused each other of violating it.
According to Israeli authorities, Hezbollah launched a drone towards Israeli army forces (IDF), which were operating in southern Lebanon. The Israeli military announced that the aircraft was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force and failed to penetrate Israeli territory.
In response, Israel described this action as a serious violation of the ceasefire agreement.
Meanwhile, it is reported that representatives from Israel and Lebanon are expected to hold a meeting tomorrow in the United States, in an effort to address tensions and the situation on the ground.
