A serious incident has been reported in Leposavic, where the Kosovo Police accuse the Serbian gendarmerie of violating the border, injuring and kidnapping a citizen with the initials MV, a Kosovo citizen of Serbian nationality.
According to the Police, "the scene of the incident is suspected to be located within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, near the Leposavic area, in what is known as point zero (0), between Kosovo and Serbia. In this case, the Kosovo Police has informed and cooperated with KFOR, responsible for the border area."
Authorities have launched an investigation by interviewing witnesses who reported that several masked individuals entered Kosovo territory, injured and kidnapped the victim, and then took him to Serbia. According to witnesses, he was transported by ambulance to the city of Niš.
The incident resembles the kidnapping of three Kosovar police officers by the Serbian gendarmerie some time ago, who were only released after the intervention of the international community.
