Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that the time has come to end the months-long conflict with the United States, claiming that Iran is in a favorable position.
"It is better to end the war now, as we are in a position of power and dignity," Pezeshkian declared. He also accused the US of attacks on Iranian schools, hospitals and infrastructure, claiming that Washington has violated international rules.
Meanwhile, the Iranian Foreign Ministry has accused the United States of "economic terrorism" after Washington's warnings of expanding sanctions on Tehran.
The US has called on other countries, including China, to join efforts to increase economic pressure on Iran. Tehran, facing years of sweeping Western sanctions, has used various mechanisms to circumvent them, including domestic production, informal trade networks and a shadowy oil shipping fleet.
