The fires that are currently endangering the lives of residents, their homes, and the flora and fauna found in the mountains and forests are, for the most part, intentional. This is a crime that demands an answer before people and before God.
Creation has been given to us to guard and not to spoil or abuse it by destroying it. Fires also endanger the toil and sweat of many people and their families. We all have a responsibility to guard, like the eyes of our forehead, every inch of our land from destruction.
I call from the bottom of my heart to all of you, individuals and institutions, to confront the situation with concrete actions, but especially by examining our conscience, so that we can emerge from these situations and not create others.
To those responsible, I say that one day we will give an account to God. No one has seen the benefit of abusing the environment, of destroying it, as it is also the destruction of us and our future on the planet. Call out to the voice of conscience, stay your hand! The messengers and the helpers have the same responsibility before people and before God.
For this, state bodies also have a responsibility not to be negligent, but to strengthen forest conservation, to improve and strengthen structures with interventionist means. This should be taken more seriously because next year is coming soon and we need to go beyond rhetoric.
May God bless everyone who cares about preserving the environment, all those who are fighting the fires these days, and may He be with those who have been harmed by the flames. With the hope that these words will be heard at least a little, I wish everyone peace in their hearts and love for this country, for our Albania, which we hold very dear.
