November brings a long-awaited slate of films, featuring a Wicked sequel, a new Knives Out mystery, and several strong productions aiming for Oscars.

1. The Running Man
Based on the dystopian novel by Stephen King (written under the pseudonym Richard Bachman), the new film version comes from director Edgar Wright. The protagonist, Glenn Powell, plays a family man who enters a deadly television game to win money, where he is pursued by professional killers for 30 days.

James Vanderbilt's historical drama chronicles the infamous Nuremberg trials. Rami Malek plays the psychiatrist who interviews Hermann Göring (Russell Crowe). Critics are calling it an Oscar-worthy acting duel.
