Cuba has published a guide to "defense against military aggression" at a time when tensions with the US continue to rise.
The document was distributed by the Cuban civil defense agency through the official websites of the provinces and contains practical instructions for citizens in the event of possible military attacks.
The publication comes amid worsening relations between the two countries, with the US having imposed an energy embargo on the communist island for months, arguing that Cuba poses an "extraordinary threat" to American national security.
According to reports, the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, John Ratcliffe, made an urgent visit to Havana for meetings with senior Cuban officials, after months of tense negotiations between the parties.
The guide, titled "Defend, Resist, Survive and Win," is aimed at all Cuban families and includes recommendations ranging from preparing an emergency bag with water, food, medicine and hygiene products, to ways to respond to air raid alarms.
The document calls on citizens to learn first aid and follow information distributed by local civil protection councils.
